The Hôtel de la Marine is open every day from 10.30am to 7pm, and until 9.30pm on Fridays.

Admission to the monument is free for visitors with disabilities on presentation of one of the following documents:

  • Attestation Adulte Handicapé (AAH) less than 6 months old.
  • A valid CMI (Mobility Inclusion Card) with "priority" or "disability" status. Holders of this card are also entitled to free entry for one accompanying person.

There is a ticket office and vending machine on site, suitable for all visitors, in the Cour de l'Intendant.

Estimated length of visit: 1 hour 15 minutes.

Access and transport

By metro

Concorde station: lines 1, 8 and 12. Not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Madeleine station: line 14. Accessible to people with reduced mobility.

By car

The nearest adapted parking space to the site entrance is 210 metres from the main accessible entrance. However, the establishment cannot guarantee that it will always be available.

A drop-off point is available in front of the monument at 2 Place de la Concorde.

The Indigo Place de la Concorde car park is located at 3608 Pl. de la Concorde, 75008 Paris.

How to get to the monument

The entrance to the monument is at 2 place de la Concorde.

To reach the reception and ticket office of the Hôtel de la Marine, you must :

  • Pass under a first porch to enter an open courtyard.

  • Go right under a second porch surmounted by a clock, which leads into a covered courtyard. Pull open one of the two glass doors to enter. If it is too heavy, you can ask one of the agents positioned in the open courtyard for help.

  • A receptionist will be behind the desk opposite the entrance to welcome and guide you. Don't hesitate to tell him what you need.

  • The ticket office is on the left of the courtyard. The disabled visitors ticket office is on the far left of the ticket office.

Access to the tour routes

A lift is available for people with reduced mobility. Ask a member of staff for assistance.

The layout of the rooms in the Intendant's Apartments prevents the movement of wheelchairs over 70 cm wide.

The last two rooms in the Intendant's Apartments are not accessible with wheelchairs wider than 70 cm. To discover them virtually, we invite you to consult our web application, free of charge and without downloading.

Please note

The low lighting in the Al Thani Collection galleries may disturb some visitors with visual impairments or mental, cognitive or psychological disorders.

Equipment for your comfort

  • Loan of wheelchairs and canes available on request from the ticket office.
  • Magnetic loop installed in the ticket office and shop for the hearing impaired.
  • Adjustable volume for audiophones and audioguides.
  • Sanitary facilities adapted for right-hand transfer in the men's block and left-hand transfer in the women's block. Access ramp available.
  • Cloakroom at reception where you can leave your personal belongings. The depositor is responsible for any valuables deposited. Objects larger than 40 x 40 x 40 cm are not permitted inside the monument. Access ramp available.

Tools to help visitors

  • Maps of the tour in relief and Braille for blind and partially sighted visitors.
  • Two web applications that can be consulted during the visit on tablets loaned at the ticket office:
  1. One offers explanatory texts on the works and objects on display.
  2. The other offers content in French sign language (LSF) and international sign language (LSI).
  • The Confident headset is available in audio description for the visually impaired or blind.

All these devices are available on request from the ticket office.

Groups

The Hôtel de la Marine welcomes groups by reservation only.

In order to prepare your visit as well as possible, we invite you to familiarise yourself with our visit offer and practical information, and then to send us your reservation request (at least 1 months before the desired date).

The Hôtel de la Marine's education department is at your disposal for any further information or specific projects.
