Operation "it's my heritage!" at the hôtel de la marine

Launched in 2005 by the French Ministry of Culture, "C'est mon patrimoine !" is an artistic and cultural education initiative that gives children, young people in priority areas and their families the opportunity to learn about heritage sites, their history and their collections through artistic activities during extra-curricular activities.

The "It's my heritage!" operation relies on artists, scientists, cultural professionals, heritage professionals, mediation specialists, popular education specialists and social workers to enable young people and their families to get to grips with heritage sites in an original way.

During the October holidays in 2025, as part of this operation, the Hôtel de la Marine is inviting young people aged 6 to 18 and their families from the social field to discover its spaces and collections through the prism of 18th-century fashion.

The programme includes

• A discovery tour of the flats of the Intendant du Garde-Meuble de la Couronne, to explore together the decorative arts and costumes of the 18th century.
• A workshop to make accessories inspired by men's and women's costumes, using upcycled materials, built and run by teams from the Friperie-Atelier La Cadette.

• Dates: Thursday 23, Friday 24, Saturday 25, Monday 27, Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 October
• Times: 10.30am to 5pm
• Audience: groups of young people aged 6 to 18 and families with children aged 6 and over working in the social field
• Size: groups of 12 people and 2 accompanying adults
• Price: €35 per group
