Unusual evenings : Fridays at the Hôtel à la Marine

Every Friday, the Hôtel de la Marine opens its doors until 9.30pm for a visit at dusk.

Take a tour of the Intendant's Apartments, with lighting that recreates the warm ambience of candlelight.

At the end of the tour, the state rooms and the loggia offer a superb view of the illuminated monuments of Paris.

In addition to the self-guided tour, enjoy original activities:

• Period balls - One Friday a month

Dance your way back in time with the Carnet de Bals association, which specialises in re-enacting great historical balls. Costumes, music and historical dances will plunge you into another era.

What if history were to come alive before your very eyes... in improvisation? One Friday a month, the monument becomes the setting for a totally improvised tour! Two actors take you on an offbeat, unplanned tour where history takes an unexpected turn.
