The Hôtel de la Marine invites you to a period ball on the theme of "Cortège des nations"!

The Cortège des nations refers to the fancy dress ball given on 12 February 1866 at the Hôtel de la Marine by the Marquis de Chasseloup-Laubat, Minister of the Navy, in the presence of Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie.

It consisted of a parade of women in costume, surrounded by a procession, symbolising France and the different parts of the world: Europe, Asia, Africa and America.

The Carnet de Bals association is back at the Hôtel de la Marine for evenings worthy of the finest receptions hosted by the monument.

The members of the association, who specialise in recreating great historic balls, will be taking over the elegant Cour d'Honneur.

An event not to be missed, open to visitors and walkers alike!
